Kind and Connected

I wouldn't dare say aloud to these kiddos what I sometimes say in my own head... more kindness needed.

I wouldn't dare say aloud to these kiddos what I sometimes say in my own head... more kindness needed.

I hope this finds you well at the start of 2016! Hard to believe we are almost 1/12 of the way through... If you are keen on resolutions, you may be joining my camp, and the resolution phase may be entering a lull... Just so you are aware, this is a totally expected and common experience. My hope is that within this lapse, you are being kind...

Unfortunately, when we hit our wall, and aren't meeting our own expectations, our inner critic often comes out. We say things in our heads that we would never utter aloud, and definitely would not say to our loved ones if they were in our boat. There seems to be some belief that this combination of internal needling and put-downs will move us toward better performance. Yet, self-criticism is linked to lower motivation and decreased improvement.

My hope today is that we can foster kindness and Choose Love
for ourselves. As you'll hear in the video link, there are already too many wars raging - why not stop the war raging within?

If you're ready to be kind and accepting of yourself, at peace with adversity, successful and connected, consider my next Mind Body Skills Group.
For eight weeks, starting February 11, come and learn strategies to be mindful and get authentic. It is one of the most powerful and transformative parts of my practice, and I look forward to sharing it with you.

In kindness,
Deepika
