Winter Break

As we near the end of the year, I wanted to let you know I will be out of the office December 23 - January 8. I'm finding it hard to believe that 2022 is nearly drawing to a close and I haven't connected in this manner in months. I know they say time flies when you're having fun. The older I get, I'd say it also flies while you ride the waves of sickness / health / relationship challenges / home projects... you name it.

While the days get shorter, I am grateful to be reminded that solstice is next week, and with that, we will begin to move toward the light. Yet, the coming weeks can feel tricky on many levels. There are often high expectations of what it should be - joyful, connected, fun...the pretty image of what we see shining on our social media feeds. While this may ring true for some people, at some times, for most the holiday season can also bring new layers of stress. There may be chaotic moments with loved ones, heightened feelings of loss or loneliness, fatigue... all sorts of things that can spike anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc. When we feel over extended, boundaries can be key, to helping create time for rest, rejuvenation and self-care.

I feel honoured and privileged to have held space for clients this fall and look forward to continuing in 2023. Thank you to all who have entered my office, or connected online, and trusted me as a companion in the work you are doing. Thank you also, to the many who have accommodated last minute schedule changes, more frequent this year then I've ever had before (anyone else ready for germs to also take a holiday!?)
