As October approaches, I am happy to report we in the office are settling into new routines. And, no more double takes, the furniture is definitely in a new position now! Miss Nibby is quite happy with the space and extra excited when folks want to snuggle on the carpet with her.
This fall, both my kids were starting at a new school. It meant lots of change to routines; specifically, I wasn't sure how on Wednesdays, when I work late, I'd arrange for my older kiddo to get home. I had decided in the summer that I was just going to trust things would work out... we would meet new friends and hopefully be able to carpool, etc. My son's new bestie at school, happened to also have a mom who is a therapist. I was not expecting that - meeting a therapist mom who was also looking for a new space! What are the odds?!
Farrah Cheriet will be in the office on Mondays and occasionally on Saturdays/Sundays. Farrah is a bilingual registered provisional psychologist who works closely with the French-speaking community in Edmonton. She is deeply committed to supporting diverse populations, including those facing challenges related to cultural adjustment, complex identities, and neurodiversity. Farrah is passionate about helping individuals embrace their authentic selves and navigate life with confidence, resilience, and compassion. In addition to her work with adults, Farrah incorporates therapeutic play in her practice with children.
It is so great to build community - not only will Farrah and I share the office, we plan to support one another with our kids! Trusting that things will work out, and that you can sort issues out when they actually arise, can be so helpful. I'd be lying to say I wasn't a bit anxious about finding a renter, but it didn't overtake things. I am SO glad I didn't spend much time stressing about rides for my son... look how nicely it all worked out!
Where in your life may you benefit from believing in your ability to figure things out as you go? You could spare yourself the stress of something that isn't a problem yet! Things are figure-out-able! Happy to help figure them out with you if that would be helpful.
With gratitude,
Deepika
